Meet the lovely Maddy Moonshine. Thanks to our agency partner, McGriddy’s Modeling Agency, for bringing us together to get to know a little bit about Maddy.
Maddy, thank you for allowing us to feature you on GLM Magazine!
Origins & Aspirations
How did your journey as a model begin, and what drew you to build your brand on Instagram as @maddymoonshine?
I started modeling at 17 with Reinhard Agency in Philadelphia, PA. At the time, I was also a competitive All-Star cheerleader and sideline cheerleader, so most of my energy was focused on athletics and being part of a team. While I couldn’t dedicate myself fully to modeling then, that experience gave me confidence, stage presence, and discipline—skills I carry with me today. Creating my brand as @maddymoonshine began when I moved from my small hometown in Lancaster, PA to Miami after college. I wanted to take a leap, share my journey authentically, and step into a city full of opportunity. Miami has shown me how far you can go when you bet on yourself and surround yourself with inspiring people.

The name “Maddy Moonshine” is intriguing—what’s the story behind it?
The name started as a playful nickname in high school and college—a twist on my last name, Monschein. Friends would call me “Moonshine” or “Maddy Moonshine,” and it stuck! I loved that it felt unique, fun, and a little bold—just like me. When it came time to build my personal brand, I leaned into it because it captures my energy and helps me stand out in the industry.
Miami Vibes & Campaign Highlights
Miami Swim Week 2025 looked amazing for you—what was that experience like?
I had the incredible opportunity to walk with @mcgriddysmodelingagency for WBFF Miami Swim Week 2025, which was actually my second Swim Week after 2024. I wore a stunning rhinestoned pink bikini by @sboviaswim that couldn’t have matched my personality more—it was bright, bold, and feminine. What made the night even more special was having my girlfriends there with flowers, cheering me on. The energy of Swim Week is electric—it brings me back to my cheerleading days: the adrenaline of getting glam, stepping on stage, and performing in front of a crowd. And the best part? I built lasting friendships with some amazing models I met that week.

You’ve also worked with @fusionfashionevents—what stands out from those experiences?
One highlight was walking in the very first “Design Wars,” where I wore a gorgeous black-and-gold piece by @tonyvisions. I’ll also be featured in the pilot episode of Design Wars Part 2—a project being pitched to CBS—which is such an exciting step. And soon, I’ll be walking in the Miami Vice Cast & Crew Reunion runway show in a retro-inspired look. Through Fusion Fashion, I’ve connected with incredible creatives and gained valuable experience that pushes me to keep growing.
Personal Style & Creative Vision
How would you describe your style, and how does Miami influence it?
My signature style leans toward swimwear and athletic wear—I feel the most confident in a bikini, and that sporty aesthetic ties back to my athletic background. I also have a big love for pink, so you’ll usually catch me in shades of it. Living in Miami has definitely expanded my style—I used to stick to more basic looks back in Pennsylvania. Still, I’ve embraced vibrant colors, bold silhouettes, and statement outfits that match the city’s energy.

Dreams & Future Plans
What’s a milestone you’re working toward?
I’m focused on establishing myself as a model while partnering with beauty, fashion, swim, and lifestyle brands. A dream of mine is to be featured in Sports Illustrated Swim—their vibe completely aligns with my personality and style. Another big goal is to travel internationally for modeling and gain experience in major fashion cities around the world.

Do you envision expanding into other creative areas?
Absolutely. Since I was a teen, I’ve dreamed of launching my own swimline—one that empowers women and makes them feel unstoppable. I’m currently in the works and aiming for a Miami Swim Week 2026 debut. I’m also open to acting opportunities. Performing has always come naturally to me—from cheerleading routines to school presentations—I’ve loved being in front of an audience and in front of the camera. Acting feels like a natural extension of that.
Miami Roots & Lifestyle
What Miami spots inspire you?
You can usually find me in Brickell—I love the energy, the rooftops, restaurants, and the luxury vibe. Wynwood is another favorite, especially for food—1-800-Lucky is my go-to spot. I actually have an entire brunch, lunch, and dinner list around Miami because I love exploring the restaurant scene here. Beyond that, Miami itself is a constant source of inspiration—the beaches, the art, the skyline, the luxury buildings—they all spark creativity for my shoots.
