Meet Sabina America — an artist with a name that already sounds like a headline, and a spirit to match. Known affectionately as “Beans”, her persona is a blend of fearless playfulness, Miami spice, and a self-made confidence that radiates through every performance.

Her music is a cocktail of cute, bold, glittery, and unapologetically hyped — the kind of sound that gets you through the last mile, the late-night grind, or the moment you need to remember who you are. She built it first for herself, as her own cheerleader, and now she’s electrifying listeners with that same spark.

On TikTok LIVE, Sabina has turned community into an art form — a place where songs turn into dance battles, laughter, inside jokes, and genuine connection. Her fans aren’t just along for the journey, they’re part of the story.

What she’s building is bigger than music.
It’s confidence.
It’s resilience.
It’s joy with a little glitter on top.

Sabina, thank you for bringing your fire, your humor, and your heart to GLM Magazine. We’re honored to share you with the world.

1- Introduction & Artistic Identity

Can you share the story behind your stage names—Sabina America and “Beans”? What inspired the playful nickname “BaBaBeans”?

My parents did it right by giving me a star name, Sabina America. Sabina comes from a character in the movie “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” and America is my grandma’s name.

“Beans” came from a choreographer who kept calling me “sabeans”.  From there it shortened to “beans” and I loved that! It sounded so cute so it stuck.

“Bababeans” came out when I was playing around on the mic for the first time in the recording studio. I ended up loving it and sticking it in all of my songs

How would you define your music style and what experiences have influenced it?

When you hear my music, it should be giving a bit of Sabrina Carpenter cutesy, a touch of Cardi B ratch, a whole shot of Miami Spice, and a sprinkle of Kawaii.

My music is playfully energetic and uncontrollably contagious. I wanted to make music that would push me through my last mile run on the treadmill! My music started from me needing to be my own cheerleader and keep that pep in my step and that sway in my hips. I hope it does the same for whoever else hears my music.

2- TikTok Live Performances & Fan Interaction

Your TikTok LIVE streams stand out for their unique “Jukebox battle” format packed with interactive surprises—how do you come up with this stuff?

My first week of live streaming on TikTok was the ultimate test in my creativity. I didn’t have all of the live features available to me yet, except this dice that randomized questions to ask your chat. I didn’t care for any of the questions, up until it prompted me to ask my chat “what’s your favorite song?” I thought it was so cool to learn what songs my chat liked. As people entered the chat, I would ask them for their favorite song so I could play it. But as more people joined and requested, I had to adjust. In order to organize myself, my jukebox was created. As people enter they send a Heart Me and get their song on the jukebox. At every 5k Likes I dance to whatever song is playing. My chat helped create some rules. If you want to skip someone’s song you have to send some shady Sunglasses and if you want to play your song next then you need to send a Naughty Chicken. The battles among the chat would get intense because as we approached the next dance number, everyone was fighting for me to dance to their song. And just like that we had a fun interactive jukebox game.

What’s been your favorite fan moment during one of these live streams? Any memorable stories involving the “Cheering Crab” or “Naughty Chicken”?

OMG! I have a fan that’s been following me since my professional dancing days! She’s seen me in person backup dancing in Mexico and has recently found me on TikTok. It’s cool to have a longtime fan, especially from my dancing days and now they get to watch my growth into what’s next!

A really cool thing that’s happened because of my TikTok Live stream is that two of my team members met on my stream and today they are a couple

How do you strike the balance between planned choreography and spontaneous creativity during live performances?

I go off of my mood. I’ve always freestyled when I feel like my emotions are too intense and I need to release them. It’s like a journal entry except instead of expressing my thoughts and feelings through words, I’m expressing through movement. When I freestyle in my lives, I’m sharing that part of me with whoever is present. From there I usually like a movement or a part of a song and then I start choreographing, but the start of the whole process is from an intense emotion.

3- Creative Ambitions & Goals

You’ve mentioned wanting to monetize your platforms and eventually do a world tour—what’s the next milestone you’re working toward, and how are you preparing for it?

My next milestone in getting closer to my dream of monetizing my platforms and going on a world tour, is to make my first album. I’m pushing myself to create my first album on my own: theme, concepts, stories, scheduling, funding, etc. Something in me feels like I have to move forward in that direction and then see where I take off.

Merchandise is in the works—what types of items are you most excited to share with fans, and how do they reflect your brand or personality?

La cafeteraaaa!!! I LOVE coffee and I’ve always wanted to offer my own cafetera to my fans. That’s the first item and then obviously the coffee cup set. Of course I want to offer the basics: T shirt, sweatpants, crop tank, shorts, and a hat. But the cafeteraaa!!! I’m excited for that.

4- Building Community & Support

For fans who want to support you—whether through virtual gifts or contributions to your Amazon wish list—what would you say they’re truly helping build?

I am a passionate hard working woman who’s taken care of my grandparents for a majority of my life. I’ve learned to be independent, strong, and disciplined out of necessity, not choice. My confidence, patience, sanity, and positivity have been thrown in the ringer countless of times. And just like a cat, no matter how many times life tries to throw me down, I somehow land on my feet and climb back up.

My inspiration comes from my daily battles against negativity around and within me. My fans who support me, support fighting against that negativity.

My fans are building a community of confidence. By supporting me, they help me share my way of dealing with this world to the world.

How have your followers and fans shaped your journey so far?

My fans keep my spirits and my hope up. Whenever I get stuck in my creativity, I remember that I have fans that I have positively impacted and that are waiting on my next project. They motivate me to keep going.

5- Art & Personal Expression

How does dancing become a form of storytelling or self-expression for you? Are there particular themes or messages you seek to convey?

Each dance is a journal entry. Each movement a punctuation. Each transition a sentence.

I don’t seek to convey a message, I simply release my emotion through the movement. It’s literally my therapy.

If you could choreograph a performance that represents your life in Miami right now, what would the music, mood, and movement look like?

The piece would represent a transition. It would start dark, foggy with white dim light. I’m center stage, fetal position. The movement would be heavy, lethargic. The music bass heavy, uncomfortable. I would move only on the floor around the whole stage. Attempting and struggling to get up from the floor and always failing. Then there would be one person who enters with floor choreography. They would successfully stand and move with lighter movement, some yellow lighting creeping in, occasionally partnering with me until finally our movement quality are both light. I would join them in standing choreography. The person would exit and the scene returns to the beginning mood. I return to floor movements only. Another person enters and we repeat a series of lighter movement, upbeat music, and then they exit and I return to the same. This will continue about two more times. Each person teaching me a new movement quality. From standing, to kicking, to turning, and jumping. The peak of the piece would be when multiple people enter the stage, feeling like a hurricane of movement, multiple lights transitioning, music crescendos, and BOOM white spot light on me. Everyone freezes, music mellows, I walk, explore the individuals and space around me. Once I return to the spot light, another BOOM, everyone jumps, and now it’s a party! Music is giving dembow, Afro beats! The audience is watching partner work, turns, kicks, and jumps! The mood is electric! Then everyone slowly exits one at a time and I return to a spot light. Look into the crowd. Music is quiet, then chimes and a gong. As the lights fade, I walk off stage into the audience and exit the building.

6- Local Roots & Future Vision

Miami has its own flavor and energy—how has this city influenced your artistry and your content?

Guuuuurl, how has it not? Miami is me and I am miami. I will say that I’m trying to fight it but I do run on miami time. I need lots of confirmations, follow ups, and check ins. I’m all fun and games until you piss me off. Once I unleash toxic and petty there’s no going back. I make a mean cafecito con tremendo espuma. I’m allergic to the cold. I enjoy and embrace our hurricane season. And I believe my audience feels all of this in my music and presence.

Looking ahead, if you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

My dream is to sell out El Choli in PR. My dance career has been filled with reggaeton artists, which has exponentially grown my love and appreciation for my Latin roots. Selling out El Choli is my dream.

Also, Australia. Because kangaroos and koalas.
