October and November are Miami Entertainment Months -filled with events, performances, and all sorts of fun. As the heat declines, the magic kicks off for the holiday season. You have Oktoberfest, the Seafood Festival, and of course, all kinds of Halloween Activities. Let’s start enjoying the fact that the rainy season is almost over, and there’s a great chance to delight ourselves during these vibrant times!

South Beach Seafood Week. This yummy event culminates on October 23 with the South Beach Seafood Festival. Miami’s best seafood restaurants will showcase mountains of their best servings, including tacos, lobster rolls, oysters, and other delicacies. This event is touted by USA TODAY as one of its Top 5 Specialty Festivals in the country, listed by Forbes in 2019 as Top 5 things to do this fall. For more info on the events, dates, and tickets, visit the event’s official website here: https://sobeseafoodfest.com/

Oktoberfest. Celebrate the famous Oktoberfest tradition alongside the historic Miami River during the BIGGEST 2-day Oktoberfest celebration in 305! Experience The Wharf Miami as they pay tribute to German conventions with live music, entertainment, Oktoberfest drink specials (Buy a shot of Jägermeister, get a FREE German beer), and more! You don’t have to make it to Germany this year to celebrate Oktoberfest. Downtown Miami’s beautiful riverside party pad, The Wharf, is hosting its version. Join in the Wharftoberfest fun, including live music, entertainment, and drink specials. For more info, call here directly at (305) 906-4000 or email them at hello@wharfmiami.com

Halloween family events. There are too many spooky events designed for the whole family! Here are two options. The first one, the 5th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science on October 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dress up the family in costume, explore the museum’s unique Halloween-themed experiments, and get up close and personal with its spooky prehistoric beasts and creatures of the deep. Pick your perfect pumpkin from thousands in their patch! They have ‘em in every color and size! The Festival also includes a Scarecrow Village, a Cornstalk Maze, Food Court, and many other features for adults and families. Susan G. Komen more than Pink Walk.  Not everything in October is about carnivals and festivals. We also take pride in our sense of awareness and sensitivity to essential issues at Miami. That’s why we invite you to join the community in raising money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure when you sign up to participate in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk. The breast cancer awareness and fundraising walk starts at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami, where teams will meet up in their pink gear to support the cause. Start your team, or visit the website to find an existing team you can join. Have fun, admire the beauty of our city, and contribute to this paramount cause! Make sure you take care of yourself, abide by the protocols, and mostly, take a moment to be grateful to live in this mesmerizing city. Miami all the way, folks! See you next time!
