For all of us Music lovers, we know that the Winter Music Conference means technology, culture, and music -all in the same spot. This famous annual gathering raised an entire music segment beginning back in the mid-1980s and now blooming under the umbrella of the Miami Music Week. It is where DJs, music producers, and other industry celebrities
gather in a cultural explosion. Moreover, the WMC is the longest-running conference of its niche.
Locals and foreigners were excited to see the terrific event coming back after a covid-caused hiatus. Unfortunately, the event is postponed until March of 2023, with promises of a renewed purpose and more surprises than ever.
If you have already purchased badges, please check your email because the organizers sent all the details about refunds and rescheduling. Remember, if you don’t already have it in your inbox, you may want to check your SPAM folder. For more info, check the event’s website HERE. Or shoot them an email at [email protected].

What’s up with the gas prices?
Jumping to another important subject, you might be wondering what’s going on with fuel prices and why they are going too high. Just last Monday, gas prices reached a historic $4.104 per gallon. Living in a globalized world means what happens overseas affects our daily existence; in this case, the Russia-Ukraine conflict is the culprit.
Our secretary of state, Antony Blinken announced a controversial ban on Russian oil imports, one decision the White House was adamant not to take. Since Russia’s economy heavily relies on fuel revenue, sanctions on this matter could impact Putin’s decisions. Our experts expect such inflated prices to recover and return over the following months -much like they did in 2008.
What’s the advice? Don’t panic! Be hopeful, and try to save on trips and commutes as much as you can for now.
Another great tip? Forget about grim news for a while, and enjoy all the music events Miami has for you this month. See you next time!
