June in Miami

Miami June 2022

It seemed like yesterday when we were putting up our Christmas decorations, and now
Summer is knocking on our door! And with it, we have many exciting events in our
beloved, unique city of Miami. But before giving you a small sample of what’s coming
along, we want to say this to our special NBA team -the Miami Heat – hell of a season,
guys! Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in one of the most
gripping 7-game series of the season.

Whether you are or aren’t a fan of basketball, the Miami Heat deserves our admiration and
praise for everything they’ve accomplished in the name of our city. As a small tribute, we
present you some fun facts about the Miami Heat:
• After being long led by legendary Pat Riley, Eric Spoelstra (the first Filipino
American head coach in the NBA) took the lead. He was also the youngest coach in
the league at that time.
• The Heat has won three NBA championships.
• The Heat hold the record for the NBA’s third-longest winning streak, 27 straight
games, set during the 2012–13 season.
• The Heat’s mascot, Burnie, lists his favorite food as a spam and peanut butter
sandwich… weird!

Better luck next season, you guys!

Dr. Conan Doyle’s Study, presenting the scientific and literary ideas that inspired the
author to pen the exciting Holmes chronicles; a place for investigators to conduct their
detective work using a book full of clues; Sherlock Holmes in Baker Street, which puts
guests right in the middle of the action at 221B Baker Street, London, where Dr.
Watson and Holmes get to cracking; and an area for pop-culture enthusiasts to embrace
